Hi all!

I just wanted to let you know that - finally - even the uncut sheets for Group2 have been shipped. Consider the world slowed down, so everything it is taking a little longer than usual.

The leftover (27 units) is up for grab in my online store: here.

Maybe Cartamundi will be able to replace the damaged ones, for now those are the numbers.

I have ordered a huge and expensive custom frame with antireflection glass, I can't wait to frame this beauty, It is huge! 72.5x101.5cm (28.5x40in). I can't wait to get it, frame the sheet, and show it to you with a nice picture.

Meanwhile, I show the behind the scenes and all the issues that I have to face when fulfilling items.

One more thing: Cartomancer 2nd edition

The House of the Rising Spade - Cartomancer variant is back in stock. This is a second edition with some minor changes if compared to the 1st one from 2018

This is not a tarot in poker size, so there are no major arcana and no knights. This is a poker size deck of 56 cards: 52+3jokers and one double backer.

I decided to insert The Fool as 3rd joker, replacing a card what was used for a quest.

New completion date for Keymaster Ultimate. Uncut Sheets. Keymaster Standard

Hi,

today Cartamundi communicated the new completion date for the Keymaster Ultimate variant. They will be ready on December 14th, and hopefully the cut is correct.

The cards are already printed, but the cutting department - the black sheep - is another story. On top of that, there is the time needed for gilding and packing.

Group1: shipping complete

If you did not get your tracking number, check spam/junk mail and find a mail from Gamblers Warehouse. The email with the tracking number is sent to the email address you used for the kickstarter campaign.

Group2: after Dec 14

The date falls in a very busy pre-Christmas shipping period, when everybody ships presents to relatives especially under the ongoing pandemic.

I forecast the following:

•  EUROPE (by 52Wonders, Germany): if the decks arrive around the 15th or 16th of December, I think they can immediately be shipped out to backers with UPS (where possible) This involves 102 backers.
•  USA+REST OF THE WORLD (by Gamblers Warehouse, Texas): I expect 5-6 business days of transit time from factory in Belgium to the fulfillment center in Texas. I definitely do not want to ship out 2-3 days before Christmas because the chances USPS loses the package are higher. I think it is wiser to ship right after Christmas or at the beginning of January. This involves 318 backers.

I am very sorry and disappointed about this new date.

I will think of some kind of compensation/gift for the backers that will have the rewards shipped after Christmas.

Uncut Sheets

They are ready, big, and shiny. No matter in what group you are, these are shipped out very soon.

•  EUROPE: Shipping starts tomorrow or Wednesday.
•  USA+REST OF THE WORLD, it will start hopefully this week, or at the beginning of the next week.

Once all the uncut sheets have been shipped, they will available for purchase on my webstore. Please mind that even if you are in Europe, the uncut sheets are shipped from Texas.

Backers can have a 20% discount with the following code: KMT20UNCUT as far as you use the email associated with this Kickstarter campaign, otherwise the code does not work (expires on December 31st 2020). The code works once per customer.

Another variant joins the family: Keymaster Standard

There is a story for this one.

Right before the pandemic, I was in touch with a tarot cards wholesaler who was interested in Keymaster tarot. They wanted 500 decks in a regular tuckbox for the regular market.

The deal did not go through - "thank you" Covid-19 - but the production did (too late to cancel the order).

Keymaster Standard is the very same deck (ungilded) with the same booklet, both in a tuckbox. These will hit my webstore in a couple of weeks or less, together with the uncut sheets.

All the other variants and Keymaster items (read: the leftover) will wait for January after the Group2 is finally fulfilled.

I decided to release this one now because I have a lot of requests since August of people who missed the kickstarter campaign.

Hi all.

this update brings annoying news, and not just one.

• US fulfilment is late (US+rest of the world parcels GROUP1).
• Ultimate decks gilded: to be trashed
• Even the reprint went wrong, a third reprint is needed = delay
• uncut sheets: they are ok on shipped to fulfillment center

Group1 USA+Rest of the world

The fulfilment center is late. I know they are packing and they started on Thursday last week, but they did not ship anything yet. I hope you can get the email with the tracking number in a day or two.

Gilded decks: to be trashed 

Today it was supposed to be the day. 

Everything was supposed to be shipped out but it did not happen. I received a bunch of cards showing the gilding....

...BUT

they have a very crooked cut, which is not acceptable.

I don't know how this could happen. I talked to the QC office (quality control) and they will do a 3rd reprint and a 2nd gilding. I guess some slaps will be delivered to the cutting department.

The 550 faulty gilded decks go in the recycling program, meaning that they become shipping cartons with embedded golden flakes.

NEW ESTIMATED COMPLETION DATE: UNKNOWN

I write an update as soon as I have news from Cartamundi.

Uncut Sheets

The uncut sheets will be shipped to the fulfillment centers and then shipped to backers.

In a couple of days I write the estimated completion date for the Ultimate variant.

Shipping update Group1 + corrigendum

Hi all,

Quick update about shipping for Group1.

EUROPE

Everything shipped and most of them arrived. 52Wonders have been quick without hiccups. I want to thank you all the backers who took the time to write a feedback on the Kickstarter page and/or posted a picture on the social media.

USA+rest of the world

I've been in touch with the American fulfillment center and they told me they start shipping the coming week and that it will take 2-3 business days to fulfill all the parcels.

Yes, they are late if we consider they got the decks 10 days ago.

Reminder for you if wondering in what group you are.

Corrigendum = mistake notification

Unfortunately - thanks to a backer - I found out that a text in the booklet is completely wrong: major arcana Strength text in the booklet shows the Empress text. Sorry for the mistake.

The correct text is the following:

Strength is in control, using her force effortlessly. When you pull this card, prepare to use your strengths in a situation. While it can show that you are in a position of strength, it can also show that this strength will be tested. If it appears with other cards that have animals on them, think about how the animals transform from one card to the next and what that could be saying about how the situation will progress.

If you want to fix it, you can download a pdf I prepared to fix the problem: a patch.

• Download the pdf here 
• Print it in actual size (do not fit to page)
• Cut it
• Paste it on top of the wrong text with regular paper glue.

The text on the artbook is correct.

Shipping status GROUP1 & additional info

Hi all!

(This update is for GROUP1 only)

If you do not know what I am talking about, here is a quick explanation.

EU fulfillment completed, find your tracking number

52Wonders (the fulfillment center in Germany) completed the fulfillment of group 1 and if you are in one of the following countries, check your mail, (SPAM/JUNK folder too) and find your tracking number.

• EU
• Norway
• Switzerland
• Iceland
• Turkey
• Ukraine
• Serbia
• other non-EU countries  in the European continent (except Russia)

The message looks like the following picture, the sender is 52 Wonders <[email protected]>, and you have it in your own language or just English:

Between Monday and Thursday, you should receive it. It is UPS/DHL in most cases, so pretty reliable.

IMPORTANT

Parcels that are unable to be delivered after 2nd or 3rd attempt will return. Extra fees will be asked in case of reshipping.

US+ASIA+CA+AU+RU+rest of the world

I think they started packing and preparing the parcels. I've been told that Covid slowed down the process and it takes around 10 days. These parcels are shipped from Texas.

You will receive a mail once the label has been created and about to be shipped.

That's all for now. A few more days and you get your long-waited reward.

Find the email and track the package so you know when it is about to be delivered.

Call your local UPS customer service if you need to reschedule or communicate additional details about shipping.
