Fulfillment update Group2, and best Christmas wishes

Hi all,

I have an update for Group2, I will be brief.

European Union and others

Shipped with UPS or DHL/GermanPost. You have an email from 52Wonders with your tracking number.

Not EU, still en Europe: 

The email looks like this, and you find it in the mailbox associated with your Kickstarter account, same as Backerkit.

GREAT BRITAIN: borders closed

Unfortunately UPS does not pick up packages heading to GB, because the borders are closed and it is pure chaos. This is combined with the incoming Brexit deadline and nobody knows what is going to happen.

The latest instructions their driver got says: parcels to GB can be picked up after January 6.

Your items have been packed, labels created and applied. Just wait for news. Enable notifications on ups website and get the email that tells you when the status of your package changes.

USA and Rest of the World

I think it will start after Christmas, I inquired for a schedule several times and still waiting. I write another update as soon as I have news.

I wish you a Merry Christmas even if we are in the middle of a sh**storm.

Group2 fulfillment schedule, Keymaster Ultimate unboxing

Hi all!

I have news about the fulfillment of Group2.

Keymaster Ultimate arrived at the german warehouse, a few here in Stockholm for my private collection, and the rest is flying to the warehouse in Texas as we speak.

GROUP 2 EU 

EU + Turkey, Ukraine, Switzerland, Iceland, Great Brexit Britain, Norway: packages should be shipped on Monday or Tuesday with UPS or German Post / DHL.

Transit time (in business days): 

• German backers probably 1-2 days with German post/DHL
• EU+GB 3-5 days with UPS
• Rest of the listed countries above: 3-7 or more days (Turkey and Ukraine, sorry but you are not the most efficient ones regarding postal services)

IMPORTANT! You will receive the tracking number via email from 52Wonders. Make sure you keep an eye on it.

As always, be aware that COVID+Christmas might create some delay. However, with UPS I am not that concerned.

GROUP 2 USA and rest of the world

I asked what's the schedule, and it will be most likely after Christmas / beginning of January. It depends by the fulfillment center, they are slowed down by Covid.

I will keep you posted as soon as I get an answer from the fulfillment center.

Keymaster Ultimate unboxing

This is how your Keymaster Ultimate looks when you will receive it. I made this quick&ugly video that shows how it is packed.

They all have a protective plastic wrap. You can open the lid without cutting the seal in the way I show.

Please remember that numbers are assigned randomly during fulfillment, therefore it is not possible to request specific numbers.

Final scene: a reading that looks good even if I cannot read it. I swear it was not staged :)

We are almost there, a few more days!

Thank you a lot for the patience and for waiting so long time through a damn pandemic, issues, production mistakes, delays, and more.

Keymaster Ultimate ready! locking shipping addresses

Hello everybody in Group2!

Finally the Keymaster Ultimate decks are ready. Today Cartamundi ships the decks to the 2 fulfillment centers with air freight. 

As written before it is wiser to start fulfillment after Christmas. Probably for EU backers it will start in 2-3 days because most of the parcels are shipped with UPS, and the delay risk is much lower than regular postal service.

IMPORTANT: Shipping Addresses

Today you should get a mail asking to confirm/change/modify/update your shipping address. In the past months I sent several mails regarding this, but I never locked the addresses because of the delays.

Just read the instructions and update the address if needed.

Estimated reward arrival date:

• Group2 EU: after the 22nd of December
• Group2 USA+Rest of the World: beginning of January

Group2 fulfillment schedule | uncut sheets, how to frame them

Hi all,

I received an update from Cartamundi and they moved the shipping-out date from the 14th of December to the 18th of December.

This means that the fulfillment of Group2 (EU, USA, and rest of the world) will start after Christmas, if we are lucky probably the 27th of December. It is possible that the EU fulfillment will be able to fulfill the 21st of December, but honestly, I think it's not that wise.

The postal service is overloaded and the chances of losing a package are higher. Better safe than sorry.

Here is a quick resume:

Shipping Addresses (Group2 only)

On 17th of December, I will send out emails asking to confirm/change your shipping address. After 48 hours the addresses will be automatically locked and submitted to the fulfillment centers so they will start the label printing and get ready for fulfillment.

Just stay on the lookout for this mail if you have to change the address.

Uncut Sheet, how to frame it

I framed my uncut sheet with a black thick wooden frame and UV-resistant-anti-reflection glass that cost me a fortune. In any case I am very pleased with the result. I spent approx $250 for it, because I picked the expensive glass. With regular glass it is probably around $160 (Swedish prices).

There are 2 ways to frame it:

•  custom  frame, you choose the style and the size (expensive way)
•  standard frame + passepartout (not that expensive)

Custom Frame

You need to go to with the sheet in your hands to a store that makes custom frames, pick the frame style that you like, and tell how you want to frame it. The white borders will be partially trimmed because under the frame will go just a portion of them (see "x" in the following picture).

Each frame is different, usually the so-called "false size" (if I am not wrong) is the size of the trimmed sheet considering the part under the frame (see "x").

Standard Frame + passepartout

This is cheaper because you pick a frame that already exists in a standard size, but it does not match the size of the uncut sheet.

Example: 

• sheet size (including white borders) = 72.5x101.5cm
• Standard frame size: A0 (84.1x118,9cm)
• You need a passepartout to compensate for the extra space. You can choose between black or white, and for keymaster Tarot uncut sheet I suggest black. 
• The passepartout is the custom-made part that you agree at the shop. It is a sheet of very thick cardboard and it is trimmed in a way that shows only the graphics, keeping the white borders under it.

As an alternative, you trim the sheet and downsize it to 70x100cm that fits a standard frame, but you might have some white borders showing, not recommended.

Hi all,

I just wanted to write a quick update for Group2 (those with the Ultimate variant). I asked to Cartamundi if everything is fine and on schedule, and it looks like it is. On dec 14th they ship out the Ultimate variant to the 2 fufillment centers.

I will see what to do considering that Christmas is near and the whole world is shipping packages under a pandemic. Better safe than sorry, right?

I will send address-confirmation-mail a couple of days before the fulfillment.

The "bright side" of Keymaster Tarot

What are those geometric shapes and lines?

I know many asked the meaning of those geometric designs. There is some kind of explanation I will try to put in words.

Meanwhile, you can watch the video highlighting only the golden geometries.

The geometries you see work like golden sigils and at the same time they represent the structure/action/gesture/pose of the illustration, more or less like it is done for constellations.

There are esoteric/astronomical/astrological/alchemical symbols because the major arcana are designed following the classic iconography.

A few examples for the Major Arcana:

II - The high priestess. The moon is part of the golden sigil, but it connects to the white sphere on the chair, which is the depiction of a full moon, in a symbolic way.

VI - The Lovers. the gender symbols (mars/venus, male/female) are part of a diamond shape (formed by 2 triangles: fire and water)

XI - Strength. mind and heart converge in the hand.

The number cards, as you know, are the stylized latin suits.

I hope this gives some sense to the design of the golden geometries.
